TS Nagabharana's Mysore Mallige was a classic and remembered even today as one of the best screen adaptation from a literary work. It was based on the poems of KS Narasimhaswamy and had portrayed rural life and the pre-Independence movement. KS Narasimhaswamy's collection of poems inspired the film Mysore Mallige, which the critics lauded and won several awards. The film was made in 1992 and now, a movie on the same name is being made which has created a controversy. Well, a young team is making a movie with the title Mysore Mallige. The shocking part of the film is - dare bare photos! The pictures of the female lead Roopa Nataraj have created a controversy and irked a section of Kannada film goers. While the classic was a romantic movie and was a clean film, the latest film, which is said to be inspired by the earlier flick, seems to be sensuous in nature.
