The legend made his Test debut against Pakistan in 1989.

With his 50th Test ton, Tendulkar extended his record for most hundreds overseas to 28.

Tendulkar also holds the record for most number of ODI hundreds (46).

Combined together, Sachin now has 96 international centuries, the most by any batsman.

With over 14,500 runs at an average of 56.88 in 175 Tests, Tendulkar also holds the record for most runs in Test cricket.

Sachin has also had the honour of receiving the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

It took Sachin four Test matches to reach the milestone of 50th Test ton after having scored his 49th against Australia in October 2010.

Tendulkar became the first sportsperson and the first personality without an aviation background to be awarded the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force.

Tendulkar won the 2010 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for Cricketer of the Year at the ICC awards.
