Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal have been the best of friends for a long time now. During the felicitation function for Kamal’s 50 years in Film Industry, everyone heaped praises on the versatile actor including Rajini who narrated a story about how Kalai Thai(Goddess of Art) loves Kamal Hassan more than the others in the film industry. When Rajini asked the goddess why she was partial to Kamal and is holding him in her hands when the others are just allowed to follow her, the goddess replied that Kamal has been dedicated to last ten births to art and hence he is special to her.
Kamal who was very touched by Rajini’s narration hugged him immediately after the speech. Rajini who wanted to put into picture his thoughts on Kamal asked a well known artist to put to paint his story about the goddess and Kamal.
Rajinikanth was amazed at the picture that the artist gave him and immediately sent it to Kamal who was moved and astonished at the lovely gesture from Rajini. The Painting has Kamal Hassan as a child in the hands of Kalai Thai and Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Vishnuvardhan, Mohan lal, Chiranjeevi following the goddess and are also depicted as children.
Kamal immediately hung the art from his friend at his office where only Shivaji Ganesan and Nagesh have found a place until now.
