Bangalore: Sachin Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu scored unbeaten half centuries as Mumbai Indians thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 9 wickets in game 8 of IPL-4 on Tuesday.
Earlier, Davey Jacobs made 22 from 16 balls before being bowled by Dirk Nannes as Mumbai chased 141 for victory against Royal Challengers.Tillakratne Dilshan carried his bat scoring an unbeaten 59 as the Royal Challengers struggled to 140/4.
Dilshan and AB de Villiers brought up their 50 run partnership for the Royal Challengers.Kieron Pollard got the wicket of Virat Kohli as Mumbai Indians struck for the second time.Lasith Malinga castled Mayank Agarwal off the very first ball of the match after Mumbai skipper Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and elected to bowl.
Both teams have gone into the match with a victory under their belt. While Mumbai thrashed Delhi Daredevils by 8 wickets after bowling them out for a mere 95 runs, Royal Challengers were comfortable winners over newcomers Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 6 wickets.
