Kochi: Kochi Tuskers Kerala followed up their win over Mumbai Indians with another massive upset by toppling the Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets in game 18 of IPl-4 at the Nehru stadium on Monday.Earlier, Brad Hodge and Parthiv Patel took control of Kochi's chase after the loss of Brendon McCullum.Ravichandran Ashwin got the all important wicket of Mahela Jayawardene as Kochi Tuskers chased 135 for victory.Suresh Raina scored 50 of 40 balls as the Super Kings reached a competitive total.Chennai lost their third wicket when Subramaniam Badrinath was dismissed after the rain break.The Super Kings were 65/2 in 9 overs against Kochi when rain interrupted play.Kochi Tuskers got rid of both Chennai openers, Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay after their skipper Mahela Jayawardene, won the toss and elected to bowl.Kochi who opened their account in the competition with an upset win over the Mumbai Indians on Friday will be looking for a repeat performance against Chennai.The Super Kings on the other hand are among the in form teams of the tournament, having won two of their three games and will be looking to stamp their authority over the Tuskers.
