Chiyan Vikram who won a name for himself playing varied roles will be part of the magnum opus Karikalan, ( a period and a contemporary flick) being produced by in a grand manner by SilverLine Film Factory of SS Vasan and S Parthi.
The production house had made Singam Puli starring Jiiva before. Directing the mega-budget venture is L I Kannan, who worked for special efects in films like Enthiran, Anniyan, Eeram, Ghajini and Sivakasi. Harris Jeyaraj, who is known for coming up with catchy tunes, will be the music composer.

SS Murthy who worked as art director in Aval Peyar Thamizharasi, Avargalum Ivargalum, Konjam Veyyil Konjam Mazhai handles art directoin with Maya pandi, who studied animatronics and worked in films like Enthiran, Eeram, Veyyil and Dishoom.
