President Pratibha Patil launched the maiden President’s Trophy Boat Race on the Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam on August 30, 2011. Sixteen snake boats competed in the race to win the coveted trophy, which was donated by the President. The snake boat “Sree Ganesh” of Saint Francis Boat Club, Kollam lifted the trophy
