People might argue that creativity should never be stifled. But apparently, it is the film industry that seems to be under continuous gag threats from various political and religious outfits. The movie that has recently earned the wrath of the Tamil group, Naam Thamizhar, is Madras Café directed by Shoojit Sircar of Vicky Donor fame. The film stars John Abraham along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Nargis Fakhri.
According to the organization, the trailer of Madras Café had portrayed LTTE in a bad angle. Director /actor Seeman who is heading Naam Thamizhar says that he would like to see the film to understand if LTTE cadets are shown as terrorists. If yes, he would seek a ban on the film in Tamil Nadu, if not he would be too happy to see the film’s release.
Seeman has found support for his request from other groups such as Student’s Federation for Tamil Eelam.
